When we arrived back from Tokyo we got back into the humdrum of life, working and seeing friends. We decided to make use of the cheap fares on offer when the budget airlines have a sale, and explore Europe, bit by bit. We had several short breaks, and we started to take cities in “twos” – we would get a train or bus between two nearby cities in order to see two places but only pay for one flight. We have had the pleasure of visiting many varied places in Europe, and I hope you find it interesting to read about it…
